Jack O Lantern Model

A 3D Jack O Lantern model that I made for a school assignment. I used 3D Studio Max, Mudbox and Photoshop to create this.

Caricature Animation

An animation assignment for school. We had to create a 15 second intro animation using a caricature of ourselves. My caricature is based on a design I had previously created.

The animated series Adventure Time inspired me to create the character with long noodle like appendages. And like that series I wanted this to be pretty random and nonsensical.

Last thing I added was the blood in the blender and that just made the entire thing perfect to me.

Scattered

A project for school. Had to make a well in 3 point perspective. Still something about this that I am not satisfied with.

My Artwork Published in a Video Game Magazine

Late last month my Limbo artwork was published in issue 277 of The Games Machine, a popular Italian video game magazine. It was used in conjunction with a review for the game, as the game was just released on the PS3 and PC. My artwork is right in the center of the page.

Burger Time Arcade Cabinet

First Project in my 3D construction class this semester. I was excited to work on this project and finished the framing on the cabinet pretty early. Click on the image for the best view. This is a video of the cabinet, with an army of sausage enemies.

Illustration Friday - Shadows

I drew this for the Illustration Friday topic, shadows.

I was playing Persona 4 at the time so I instantly thought of the shadow creatures from the game. As well as what I drew here, Yosuke's shadow. During the game characters meet their shadow selves inside the television, the shadow represents a characters darker thoughts that they may not want people to know, but are still apart of who they are. The characters have to accept this as apart of themselves to gain Persona abilities.

I just thought of the new Yelle album, Safari Disco Club, and drew Julie Budet, the vocalist in a kind of ink blot sketch style..

The Siren - Borderlands

Been working on this for the past few days, it's the siren class character, Lilith, from Borderlands. I made it a vector because it suits the style I was going for.

School's Done N Stuff

School is over, so here is a bunch of stuff I made. Mostly from the end of the semester.

My Demo Reel. All the 3D stuff, the black and white 8 ball and robot, Orihime, the Melon, the speaker character, my PSA and the Earth exploding were done this semester. Everything else is older.

A speed painting. Had to have a focal point.

Final painting for school, just had to be any character with a background. I had an old drawing of this mouse on my computer so I coloured it in.

A fairy tale character I had to create, it's a speaker monster.

The speaker monster coloured, the walking animation is in my Demo Reel above.

Pendulum

I went to The Guvernment in Toronto on Feb. 2 to see Pendulum. It was fantastic! Lots of energy, wasn't expecting them to have a live MC though. Only got a few good phots, thought I'd throw them up here, along with a video I took.

I don't think I'll ever do something like this again. I just did not have enough time and definitely rushed through some of my drawing, they could have been a lot better.

Illustration Friday - Resolution

I drew this for the Illustration Friday topic, resolution.

New Years resolution is to kill zombies if any happen to show themselves.

LIMBO

I just purchased an amazing game on the Xbox 360 the other day, Limbo. The game is all black, white and grey, the main character being a little silhouetted child. It's a side scrolling puzzle game that takes place in Limbo. The vagueness, art style and sound direction really make it interesting. The creepiness of the surroundings kept me hooked, and the ending was kind of shocking and nicely done.

Anyway, just drew this small image based on the game, mainly the ending.
